Author: Thank you for having me, it’s a pleasure to be here.

Interviewer: To kick things off, could you briefly tell us what inspired you to write «The Transhuman Code»?

Author: Well, it’s no secret that artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies are rapidly evolving, impacting virtually every aspect of our lives. I was inspired to write «The Transhuman Code» to stimulate a much-needed dialogue about the intersection of humanity and technology. The aim is to understand how we can leverage AI for our benefit while maintaining control and preserving our human values.

Interviewer: That sounds fascinating. Your book emphasizes the need for humans to stay in control as AI continues to evolve. Why is this so crucial?

Author: It’s essential because AI, while incredibly powerful and useful, is ultimately a tool created by us, humans. The core goal should be to ensure that this tool serves us rather than the other way around. If humans lose control, we risk creating systems that may not align with our values, priorities, or societal norms, leading to potentially adverse consequences.

Interviewer: It’s an important point you’ve raised. What practical steps can we take to ensure that we remain in control as AI continues to progress?

Author: There are several measures. First, we need to prioritize human-centric AI design. This means creating AI systems that understand and respect human values, and can interact with humans in an intuitive and natural way.

Second, transparency in AI operations is vital. We need to understand how AI systems make decisions, to prevent them from operating like black boxes.

Third, it’s crucial to implement robust AI regulations. Governments and international organizations should work together to establish rules to guide AI development and usage, ensuring ethical standards and human rights are respected.

Lastly, we should invest in education. Everyone, not just those in the tech industry, needs to understand AI and its implications. This will enable more people to participate in the conversation and influence how AI evolves in the future.

Interviewer: It’s certainly a comprehensive approach. There’s a point in your book where you mention the concept of «Transhuman». Can you elaborate more on this?

Author: Certainly. The term «transhuman» refers to an evolutionary future state of being beyond our current human condition, potentially achieved through advanced technologies like AI, bioengineering, nanotechnology, and more. It’s a state where we might overcome biological limitations and significantly augment our capabilities.

However, as I argue in the book, as we approach this transhuman era, it is vital that we don’t lose our human essence – our empathy, creativity, love, and understanding. These are things that define us as humans and they should continue to do so, no matter how technologically advanced we become.

Interviewer: That’s a profound thought. Thank you for sharing these valuable insights with us today, and congratulations on your success with «The Transhuman Code».

Author: Thank you for having me. I hope the conversations around this important subject continue to grow.
